as hit accurately. It is vital to keep out of the
reach of an opponents strike. Kickboxers have various
strengths and weaknesses, such as a tall kickboxer
will have a long reach, but he may have a larger scoring
area as his body may be very long

Aikido
history from the Blackpool Karate School
A
student in class asked me what Aikido is. Thus, I
decided to write a small article on the history of
Aikido, for other Blackpool Karate class members,
who are interested in the roots of Aikido. Although
Aikido is not taught in the class, we do attend seminars
in Aiki Jitsu and classical Ju Jitsu such as the recent
seminar in Shindo Yoshin Ryu with Toby Threadgill.
