You do not have to be competitive or naturally athletic to take part in the class. Learning Karate is about self- improvement and self-confidence.

This is a dynamic modern martial art, which teaches basic boxing combinations, emphasises stretching, kicking, and basic groundwork. There are set sparring drills, which are semi-contact and require protective equipment.

This syllabus incorporates practical self-defence, an appreciation of other martial arts, and is an excellent workout.

How do I join?

On your first few lessons, you need to be wearing loose clothing so that you are able to move around freely. Suitable clothing would consist of loose trousers (not jeans), and a T-shirt. Mostly, it is important to remember to wear clothes that are both comfortable and suitable for physical activity.
